VISA Guidelines

Conference Visa may be granted for international conferences held to discuss a particular subject or for a seminar or workshop on a specific subject.

Indian Missions are authorized to issue conference visas to delegates on production of an invitation to a conference/seminar/workshop being organized in India by a Ministry or Department of the Government of India, State Governments or UT Administrations, Public Sector Undertakings, Central Educational Institutions, Public Funded Universities or an organization owned and controlled by the Government of India or any State/UT Government, United Nations or its Specialized Agencies or an NGO/Private institution. 

Eligibility:

Conference visa is given to those who wish to visit India for national conference on certain subjects provided they should have invitation to conference / seminar / workshop in India by Ministry Govt. of India , State Govt. , Public sector under taking , Central educational institute , Public funded universities or UN & NGOs. The person should not be a persona-non-grata to the Government of India.

Validity:

Conference Visa is issued for a period of maximum six months with single entry permission. Visa duration starts on the day of issuance of Visa (not from the day of entry in India).

Entry Points:

Foreigners having valid Conference Visa can enter India from any authorized Immigration Check Posts (ICPs) in India.

Fee For Conference Visa:

Visa fees for Conference visa is different for all the Missions, it ranges from $13 to $113.

Form:

The visitors are required to fill online visa Application by visiting website http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/ and visit their nearest embassy with printout of the online filled application and required travel documents.

Repeat Visit:

Conference visa is given for three months duration only with single entry permission.
